Our restaurant is in the heart of the Eternal City in Piazza Navona, the most famous square of Rome and a must see for Italian and foreigner visitors, but also one of the favourite destination for the walk of the Romans.
Sitting at our tables, among historical buildigs, water fountains, sculptures, painters and artists in an evocative, romanthic and a little bit retrņ atmosphere, you can taste the typical Roman and Italian dishes, drink a coffee or an aperitif, but above all, taste our Truffle (Tartufo in Italian), a delicious ice cream well-known all over the world.
Our restaurant at the beginning of the Nineteenth Century was a guesthouse, placed just in front of the famous "Fontana dei Quattro Fiumi" (the Four Rivers' Fountain) sculpted by Gian Lorenzo Bernini and close to "Saint Agnese's Church", and it has been a witness of Piazza Navona's history (history that can be read on www.navonasquare.com) and has "lived" particularly the exciting moments during the "Dolce Vita" in the Fifties.
Actors and actress and the high life people sitting at our tables were "assaulted" by paparazzi.
Today we are a Restaurant Bar known all over the world for our Truffles and for our kindness ... we hope.
Our specialty that made us famous all over the world is the Truffle (Tartufo in Italian).
Created in 1946, the Truffle is a chockolate ice cream, served with a lot of whipped cream, that is still made today accordingly to the original recipe still secret.
Its unique taste, so much appreciated, is due to the usage of several fine cocoas coming from Austria and skillfully blended by our Pastry Chef.
